because i haven’t been posting

How do you like your eggs? scrambled with milk and cheese and butter. i want it cooked for just a minute on a really hot pan before tossed on the plate– all yellow with sunshiny goodness.

How do you take your coffee/tea? Coffee– i want it real and strong, decaf makes me sick. Tea, with a spot of milk and a dollop of honey. if green tea, just plain.

Favorite breakfast food? Bacon. French toast. Pasta fritata. Tapsilog. Instant pancit canton. Mushroom omelette.
Peanut butter: smooth or crunchy? Crunchy. or the homemade peanut butters. Lady’s choice creamy peanut butter.
What kind of dressing on your salad? Olive oil with balsamic vinegar and salt and freshly ground pepper. maybe with a dash of sesame oil.

Coke or Pepsi? i have learned to say no to softdrinks.

You’re feeling lazy. What do you make? Instant pancit canton on a frying pan.

You’re feeling really lazy. What kind of pizza do you order? Pepperoni and mushroom pizza from Yellow Cab. Garlic cheese thin crust pizza from Shakey’s.
You feel like cooking. What do you make? Pasta with any available ingredients in the ref (preferrably fresh mushrooms, bacon/tapa) in the refrigerator in my special aglio olio with glazed onions sauce.

Do any foods bring back good memories? Thin crust pizzas, tortellinis, red wine, sparkling water, crusty bread (Italy), Tuna sandwich from Swiss Maid Eurodeli in Baguio (early college memories), Ol’ Nick’s Open-faced Tuna sandwich from Cafe by the Ruins (going home from Baguio),  inihaw na baboy (summers by the pool or beach), fishball (childhood and college in UP Diliman), yellow chicken curry and shrimp fried rice from Krua Thai (being held back by the restaurant from eating more), Rice toppings from Thai Canteen (good memories), sushi (when i first learned how to use the chopsticks) chili garlic sauce (my days in singapore)…

Do any foods bring back bad memories? yes.

Do any foods remind you of someone? coffee (poetry, friends), steak and red wine (my dad), sugar-free low fat cheesecake (my mom), fried chicken (my sibs), fish (merlin), ostrich steak, adobong sawa, bayawak, tortellinis, risottos (april), beef misono, yellow chicken curry, shrimp fried rice, rice toppings from thai canteen (moks), oysters (tata), medium seafood pizza with half order of fries from Don Henrico’s (maysa), a huge order of iced caffe mocha from Amadeus cafe (mira and rochelle), starbucks coffee, mr. ho tsin ho chili (matt), mcnuggets (ica carpool)…

Is there a food you refuse to eat? Raisins in food. pineapples in food, sinigang and curry from unknown origins
What was your favorite food as a child? mashed potatoes.

Is there a food that you hated as a child but now love? fresh lumpia, vegetables.

Is there a food that you loved as a child but now hate? nope

Favorite fruit & vegetable: pear, kiwi, ripe mango, indian mango, turnips, eggplant, okra, lettuce, bean sprouts, broccolli, cauliflower, baby corn, mushrooms

Favorite junk food: fries.
Favorite between meal snack: wheat thins
Do you have any weird food habits: i’ll try anything when i’m in the mood. i always have to read something when i’m eating alone.
You’re on a diet. What food(s) do you fill up on? salad, wheat bread, brown rice, chicken, water, mixed vegetables
How spicy do you order Indian/Thai? not so spicy because too much chili numbs the taste buds.

Can I get you a drink? pina colada, rum coke, frozen margarita, cerveza negra, san mig light (but only when i’m not driving)

Red wine or white? Red. Chianti.
We only have beer: Cerveza Negra, Asahi, and that Australian wine…
Favorite dessert? Macapuno, dark chocolate, cheese with grapes
The perfect nightcap? A nice tight hug that ends with a chocolate-flavored kiss.
